EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo has teased some dramatic scenes in the final part of Dean Wicks’ storyline.

When Dean returned to Walford last year, he was introduced as Cindy (Michelle Collins) and Ian’s (Adam Woodyatt) silent business partner for their new restaurant Beale’s Eels.

In the lead up to Christmas, he became one of the many men involved in The Six narrative.

On Christmas Day though, Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was confirmed as the victim after he was stabbed to death by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

As a new year began in Albert Square, the six women gradually became more desperate to keep Keanu’s murder a secret. Eventually, after the café floorboards collapsed and his body was found, The Six knew they had to act fast to prevent their involvement being exposed.

The women then worked together to successfully frame Dean for the crime. He was sent behind bars and soon, he will face trial for a murder he didn’t actually commit.

‘There is a trial. I know the result of the trial, because we’ve filmed it already. I can tell you – but I won’t because it would ruin the television!’, Matt Di Angelo told The Sun at this year’s Radio Times Soap Awards.

When Karen (Lorraine Stanley) returned for Keanu’s funeral, she paid Dean a visit in prison in search of closure. Desperately wanting to know what drove Dean to kill her boy, Karen was taken aback when he alluded to Linda lying to everyone.

Her attempt at finding out the truth didn’t exactly go the way Dean had hoped, as Karen eventually concluded she was suspicious at Linda due to her grief and high emotion.

Even though there’s the opportunity for The Six’s secret to be exposed, Matt went on to confirm Dean wouldn’t return to the Square for revenge, if this was to ever happen.

He added that Dean is a ‘fun character to play’ but feels as though he can ‘handle a bit of him every six years or so, and then after a week you’re like, “OK enough of this”.’

Further hinting at the upcoming trial scenes, Matt also revealed that ‘we were on location for a full week and most of the trial is filmed’.

‘There was a twist at the end of it that sort of surprised me’.

Intriguing!

Elsewhere in the BBC One soap, Cindy Beale got the shock of her life yesterday (July 15) when she followed Ian to a house, convinced he was having an affair.

When she arrived, she came face to face with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) – Ian’s ex-wife and adoptive mother of Bobby (Clay Milner Russell).

‘There is a lot of drama, certainly, between these two women!’ Laurie promised. ‘But they are both mothers – funnily enough, of the same children – and most mothers would do anything for their kids.

‘What Jane did in that terrible moment with Lucy is unfathomable, but before that, she spent 15 years being a great mum to Cindy’s kids.

‘Cindy is angry with Jane, and she also feels guilty that she wasn’t there, so she’s lashing out for all sorts of different reasons. They have both made mistakes, and they both know that, so it’s quite complex.’
