Prophet Michel de Nostredame predicted a war in 2024, with Iran’s attack on Israel prompting global fears of a worldwide conflict.

The French seer has seen a number of his prophecies from his book, Les Prophéties, come true during the 450 years since its release.

The prophet is alleged to have predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler, as well as the shooting of President John F Kennedy and the coronavirus pandemic.

For the year 2024, the seer wrote that ‘Red adversary will become pale with fear, putting the great Ocean in dread.’

The prediction was initially believed to be related to tensions between China and Taiwan, or recent attacks by Houthis on ships in the Red Sea.

However, following conflicts on Saturday between Iran and Israel, social media users have been debating the possibility of World War III looming, and some believing the conflict to also be part of Nostradamus’ prophecy.

More than 300 missiles and drones were deployed towards Israel over the weekend during Iran’s first direct attack on Israel’s territory.

The attack was in response to an attack over an April 1 airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, that killed 12.

Iran said ‘Operation Honest Promise’ was a complete ‘success’ and has opened an explosive chapter in the two nations’ long-standing shadow war.

Iran’s mission said their attack on Israel was in compliance with the UN Charter of legitimate self-defence.

In a statement posted on X, the body warned the US ‘must stay away’.

‘Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus.

‘The matter can be deemed concluded. However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe.

‘It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime,’ they added.
