England and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has explained why he wrote ‘I love Jesus’ on his LGBTQ+ armband.

‘I think the message was pretty clear to be honest,’ he told Sky Sports when asked about his decision for the first time.

‘It was a message of love, of truth as well. A message of inclusivity so I think it speaks for itself.’
