One of the biggest stars of the 00s has sent fans into an almighty spin with the trailer for his latest sitcom.
Seann William Scott, most known for his efforts as Stifler in the American Pie franchise, is set to make us all laugh in new ABC comedy, Shifting Gears.
The series also stars Kat Dennings and Tim Allen – it follows the story of widower Matt (Tim) whose life is flipped upside down when his struggling daughter Riley (Kat) and her family move into his home.
The official Shifting Gears Instagram account shared a trailer on Monday, ahead of the premiere on January 8.
Although the first look was hilarious, viewers were more stunned by Seann’s appearance, sharing their delight that the 48-year-old was back in a new show – more than 20 years after his breakout role.
In the comments below the clip, Vampirezozo wrote: ‘Stiffler! Man, it’s good to see him, he looks great.’
Jca_dawesy agreed: ‘The Stiffmeister is looking great!’
Long_live_simba said: ‘Aye stifflers lookin good. Good for him.’
Jasonzeffir replied: ‘Seann William Scott is still looking good!’
As Marieleelee added: ‘Holy moly Sean is still hot as hell. I do not make it a habit of thirsting online but he looks gooooood [sic].’
Seann shot to superstardom with his role as mouthy jock Steve Stifler in 1999 teen comedy American Pie, alongside Alyson Hannigan, Jason Biggs, Chris Klein and Jennifer Coolidge – aka Stifler’s Mom.
He went on to reprise role in the three sequels, most recently American Reunion in 2012.
The Hollywood favorite has barely taken a break since, raking up stints in Final Destination, Old School, Road Trip, Dude, Where’s My Care, Role Models and the Ice Age franchise.
His TV roles include appearing as Wesley Cole in Lethal Weapon and Father Joe in Welcome to Flatch, with Shifting Gears the latest in his comedic efforts.
The official synopsis reads: ‘Shifting Gears stars Tim Allen as Matt, the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop.
‘When Matt’s estranged daughter (Kat Dennings) and her kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.’
In the trailer, Riley could be seen making herself comfortable at her dad’s home, telling him: ‘I’m broke and I need a place to stay until I figure out what the rest of my life looks like.’
Matt’s son also drops his own life to help out at the restoration shop, but we predict everything quickly going haywire with the family reunion…
Shifting Gears premieres on ABC on January 8.
