The Christ Embassy Church located in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos witnessed a fire outbreak on Sunday morning, according to social media videos circulating online.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. However, multiple videos shared on X, a social media platform, depict flames and smoke emanating from the church building.
Reports indicate the fire erupted before the commencement of regular church services.
Officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are said to be currently battling the blaze.
Augustine, a social media user tweeting under the handle Chief_Augustin1, shared a video from the scene with the caption, “Christ Embassy Church on Billings Way, Oregun, is on fire. Serious fire is raging, and men of the Lagos State Fire Service are working hard to put it off. Thank God service hasn’t commenced fully.”
