Florida School Isolates Black Assembly Students Apparently Given Gift Vouchers to Enhance Results.

The interim superintendent of the school system in Flagler County, Florida has revealed that a high number of black students were singled out and forced to attend an assembly on improving their performance on standardized tests. The purpose of the event was to discuss how students may improve their overall performance.

Last Friday, students in grades four and five at Bunnell Elementary School were excused from class to attend an assembly held in the school cafeteria. This information was sent to a number of parents at the school by the FOX 35 station in Orlando.

Teachers allegedly analyzed students’ test results and offered gift cards to local restaurants as incentives for raising students’ test scores. Those students who performed particularly well on standardized tests were reportedly brought to the front of the classroom to act as role models for the other students.
