Forget G915 X, Logitech gave its top keyboard its best discount yet

Credit where it’s due: Logitech pays attention to what customers want. It’s trawled through endless amounts of feedback, from Amazon reviews to asking us reviewers what we think, all in an attempt to perfect its new G915 X keyboard announced this week. But just as a fresh alternative shows its face, the prices of tried and true models have come crashing down, giving them newfound value.

Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed is currently at its lowest price in all five regions I’ve checked, giving you the dinky gaming keyboard for next to nothing. Saving you up to 30%, deals bring the costs of the wireless wonder down to just $149.99 in the US, £149.99 in the UK, and between €160-170 across Europe. You can check Amazon prices in your region by clicking the pink buttom below.

Discounts will differ depending on switch type and colour. For example, folks in the US can choose between the black or white version at the same price, but tactile switches save more than clicky. My favourite is the magenta, which does sport the same deal as its darker counterpart in the UK but not on the continent. Needless to say, it’ll take a bit of savvy shopping to get your ideal typer, but it’s well worth it.

For first-timers, I recommend tactile switches for a little feedback. Logitech GX aren’t my favourite of the bunch, but they’re a reliable entry into the mechanical market. And if you’re not happy, G Pro X features hot-swappable switches, unlike its G915 alternative. This means you can plonk a set of Gaterons, Glorious, or Cherry MX in later down the line. It’s as easy as pie and all the tools you need come in the box.

The Lightspeed part of the name means you can pair it with the same high-speed wireless connector as your Logitech mouse, saving you an all-important USB slot. Not that I make a habit of playing on my PC from afar, but this also lets you play from as far as 10m away. Logitech says it’ll last up to 50 hours but my testing placed it closer to the 40 mark, which is still plenty as far as wireless keyboards go.

Granted, G Pro X satisfies a different kind of audience with its full-height keycaps instead of G915 X’s low profile approach. Still, it’s hard to argue value when this deal makes Logitech’s former flagship $50 cheaper than the new lot. If you’re adamant on a full-sized model with shorter stems, then consider the original Logitech G915 Lightspeed, which is currently up to 40% cheaper.
