Rivers state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, early Friday morning stormed the head office of Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) in response to reported attempt by some persons to cart away sensitive electoral materials meant for local government election on Saturday.
Speaking while in front of RSIEC office in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara in company of top government officials condemned the move.
He then hailed security men on duty for their alertness.
Blueprint gathered that the invaders arrived RSIEC office around 1am on Friday dressed in police uniform.
Police authorities were yet to speak on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
