False wouldn’t be the first celebrity to rock a feminine outfit as, over the years, Nigerian male celebrities have become bold with their fashion statement.
In August 2023, veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo or RMD, caused a stir as he stepped out in style with singer Mr Eazi twinning in a skirt. To shut down homosexual rumours, he clarified that he was wearing a kilt.
Similarly, Nigerian influencer Enioluwa was dragged after he made a bold fashion statement at an event wearing a skirt and an armless suit to the event. Though he clarified that he was dressed like a Scottish, many tagged him as homosexual.
Singer D’banj took things further when he wore a crop top. While some disapproved of his outfit, others praised him for looking fit in it.
To add to it, Timaya broke the internet when he shared photos of him overseas wearing bum shorts on the street, which left questioning if he was wearing bum shorts. Netizens had a field day reacting to his fashion outfit, as some likened him to American rapper Kanye West.
