Gigabyte’s white Aorus Xtreme RTX 4080 Super is super limited

Gigabyte announced it will be releasing an ice white version of its RTX 4080 Super Aorus Xtreme SKU. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to get their hands on one because this bad boy is part of a limited-run bundle release and availability is expected to be very tight. That’s not even accounting for scalpers.

The images were shared privately by Gigabyte Vietnam’s Product and Sales Manager on Facebook. It didn’t take long for the brand to delete the post and the media to label it a leak. The slides highlight everything from confirmed specs to design and features. Luckily, I_Leak_VN was able to grab the stills and shared it for all to see on X.

White and Gold affair

In terms of design, it’s an all-white take on the original black and gold Aorus Extreme RTX 4080 Super. The snowy exterior features subtle yet fancy silver and gold accents. This extends to a unique gold plaque in the top corner of the device. Last but not least, the centre fan hubs are finished with diamond-bedazzled stickers. I must admit, when put all together, it makes for a rather luxurious look.

Interestingly, even though it might be a regular RTX 4080 Super GPU underneath, there are a few notable performance tweaks. For one, the card reportedly boasts a boost clock of up to 2,700MHz. This is quite an impressive feat considering the reference boost clock sits at 2,550MHz, and the highest factory overclocked RTX 4080 Super currently stands at 2,670MHz. It also boasts higher AI performance at 885 AI TOPS when compared to RTX 4080 Super Founders Edition at 836 AI TOPS.

According to the source, this will be part of a special edition bundle featuring an Aorus Z790 Xtreme Ice motherboard, a 1000W Platinum PG5 PSU, and a WaterForce X II Ice 360mm AIO. The bad news is that only 300 units will be available globally. Expect it to cost a pretty penny, too.
