A former Gogglebox star has revealed a new baby has been welcomed into his family.

Between 2014 and 2021, Tom Malone Jr appeared on the Channel 4 show with his dad Tom Snr, mum Julie and brother Shaun.

Although his family are still part of the line-up, Tom left the long-running series three years ago.

Away from the cameras there are also two other Malone siblings – Lee and Vanessa.

Tom has now announced that his brother Lee has welcomed a son, posting a sweet photo with his newborn nephew on social media this week.

‘Welcome to the family Caelan 👶🏻 #UncleDuties,’ he captioned the post, which showed him smiling while sitting on a couch holding the sleeping bub.

The Malone’s also have three other grandchildren, with NHS nurse Vanessa’s kids called Saoirse, Brogan and Harley.

When announcing his exit from Gogglebox, Tom wrote on Instagram: ‘So after 6 and a half years it’s finally time to put down the remote, and to say goodbye to Gogglebox.’

‘I’ve loved every minute and I’m eternally grateful to @channel4 and @studiolambert for allowing me to be a part of the show,’ he continued.

‘But new opportunities are knocking on the door and it’s time to explore them. I look forward to enjoying the show as a viewer and not having to worry about having said something stupid.’

He then joked his family would still be providing plenty of entertainment for viewers despite his departure.

Gogglebox is streaming on Channel 4.
