Every penny counts when it comes to budget gaming, making discounts on the likes of GeForce RTX 4060 all the more invaluable. Now, Nvidia’s cheapest graphics card just became even more affordable, as the price of MSI Ventus 2X models just hit a new all-time low.
While not a perfect pixel pusher, we still rate GeForce RTX 4060 as the best graphics card for those after a price-conscious Nvidia GPU. At this new price, set by Amazon, that commendation rings true all the more. Speaking as someone familiar with this MSI Ventus 2X model, as a user and reviewer, it’s one I can confidently recommend.

“GeForce RTX 4060 lets you take on the latest games and apps with the ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture.”

Right now, MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X is just £269.00, a tidy £20 below its RRP, or 7% off if you’re more of a percentages person. This puts it practically in price parallel with the £269.99 Radeon RX 7600, which frankly doesn’t compete in these circumstances. Better still, if you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, this graphics card is eligible for faster Prime Delivery. So, you can save twenty-quid on your next upgrade and get it to your door right quick.
GeForce RTX 4060 specs
So, what do you actually get in exchange for your 26,900 pennies? GeForce RTX 4060 is Nvidia’s entry level graphics card in its RTX 40 series. So, despite its low price, it supports all the same features as its more-expensive siblings. This includes DLSS Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and Frame Generation. It also packs Team Green’s latest generation CUDA, Tensor, and RT cores.
It does have a few shortcomings that you should be aware of, though. With only 8GB of VRAM at its disposal, riding on a 128-bit memory bus, its memory bandwidth is on the lower side. As such, it’s best suited to 1080p gaming. Providing this doesn’t bother you, it’ll make short of games new and old, making it ideal for esports aficionados or those that prefer single player experiences alike.
GeForce RTX 4060 performance
We’re a long ways off an Nvidia RTX 50 series replacement for GeForce RTX 4060, so there’s no danger of purchase-instilled FOMO as things stand. We’ve briefly mentioned that Radeon RX 7600 doesn’t compete at this price, but let’s explore a few performance points in some detail.
As we noted in our GeForce RTX 4060 review, its ray tracing (RT) prowess is in a class of its own relative to Radeon RX 7600. The two graphics card trade blows with RT effects disabled, but the win easily goes to Nvidia thanks to its DLSS suite. DLSS Super Sampling still provides a higher quality image than AMD’s FSR, providing this budget pixel pusher with an edge over its rival.
Right now, there are very few processors that are better for gaming, and even fewer with such a good deal behind it. Of course, we’ll keep an eye out for more discounts and you can stay in the loop by following us on Twitter or Facebook and subscribing to our free weekly newsletter, but I wouldn’t hang around on this one.
