Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have abducted the correspondents of Blueprint Newspapers, AbdulRaheem Aodu, and Nation Newspapers, AbdulGafar Alabelewe, along with their family members late Saturday night, July 6, 2024 at Millennium City, Igabi local government area of Kaduna.
Both Journalists reside in the same community and live as neighbours.
While the Aodu and his wife were abducted, the bandits also kidnapped Alabelewe, his wife, and two of his children.
Later on, they left Aodu’s sick wife on their way.
Sharing her experience early Sunday morning, Aodu’s wife said the terrorists kept beating their victims mercilessly and steadily.
All efforts to reach the Kaduna police command spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.
