Missing woman Hannah Kobayashi has reportedly been found safe a couple weeks after her father took his own life while frantically looking for her.
The Hawaii woman reached out to her family on Wednesday and informed them that she is fine.
”We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah has been found safe,’ her family told the Daily Mail.
‘This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through.
‘We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during this difficult time. Your kindness and concern have meant the world to us.’
Kobayashi assured a family member who spoke with her that she was safe, TMZ reported.
Earlier this month, police had said that Kobayashi took a train from Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles to the southern border of the US and was in Mexico.
