Harry Kane has already scored six Bundesliga hat-tricks for Bayern Munich, taking him just 39 games to reach that impressive tally.

The England captain scored three in Bayern’s 4-0 romp over Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, which kept them top of the Bundesliga table.

It was Kane’s second Bundesliga hat-trick of the season and third in all competitions after banging in four in the 9-2 demolition of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

The 31-year-old has now scored an incredible 57 goals in just 55 games for the German giants since signing from Tottenham last year.

Bayern Munich have had some legendary goal-scorers over the remarkable history of the club, but Kane is finding the back of the net at an even more impressive rate than those who came before him.

Kane’s six Bundesliga hat-tricks in 39 games is a lot quicker than anyone else has managed that feat for Bayern, with Dieter Muller the next fastest to that milestone in 118 matches.

The club’s record goal-scorer, Gerd Muller, managed six league hat-tricks after 127 games for Bayern.

Gerd Muller would go on to score an immense 565 goals for Bayern across all competitions, so Kane will not be competing with him on that front.

The Englishman said after the win over Stuttgart: ‘We played well. The first goal was very important. It opened the game up.

‘I always have faith in myself. It’s how it is being a striker: if you don’t score, then there are questions asked. I’m just happy. In the second half, we stepped it up a notch and Stuttgart couldn’t keep up.’

Bayern director of sprot Max Eberl said of his star striker: ‘Stuttgart had a chance in the second half. It was dangerous, but it sparked something for us. And then it’s Harry Kane who scores. I’m pleased for him. He works so hard for the team – people often forget that. And then he added another two on top of that to show what a killer he is.’

Kane was asked some quickfire questions by Goal on his fellow players and produced some interesting answers.

Asked for a young player that people should watch out for, Kane quickly went for Crystal Palace and England midfielder Adam Wharton.

Clearly Kane was impressed with the 20-year-old after he came into the Three Lions squad earlier this year and was called up for Euro 2024.

Jamal Musiala got Kane’s nod for the best player in the Bundesliga, while it is a very familiar name who got his vote for the best player in the world.

‘Messi had a fantastic Copa America again, so he’s playing at a really high level,’ said Kane on the world’s best footballer.

Kane and Bayern face a big test on Wednesday night when they travel to take on Barcelona in the Champions League.

Their last European outing saw them lose 1-0 at Aston VIlla, leaving them three points behind the early pace-setters in the new Champions League format.

Bayern have an amazing record against Barcelona, winning their last six clashes with the Spanish side and eight of the last nine. Barca have not scored in their last four meetings with the Germans, conceding 11.

Barcelona are now managed by former Bayern boss Hansi Flick and he fancies their chances of improving that recent record.

‘We are ready for the match tomorrow,’ Flick told a press conference on Tuesday. ‘The matches can be different and many things can happen, they can evolve towards different paths. During this season we have done very well to focus game by game. Bayern is an excellent team and anyone wants to measure themselves against the best.

‘What happened in the past we cannot influence it, but we can do it in tomorrow’s game. Of course we want to try to win tomorrow’s game.’
