Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (May 21) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on Wednesday May 22 at 7pm.

Kitty Draper (Iz Hesketh) broke down in tears upon returning to the village as she found out that Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best) had tragically died.

The barmaid and trainee nurse, as viewers know, was held captive for weeks by cruel conversion therapist father Declan Hawthorne (Alan Turkington).

Her ordeal came to an end earlier this week when Beau Ramsey (Jon-Paul Bell) worked out that she was in danger and found out where she was being held captive but things took a shocking turn, with Declan winding up dead!

Beau was left reeling after delivering the accidental blow that killed the church leader. Kitty broke down – not because she was sad over his death but because she was finally free from her twisted dad’s control.

The two left Declan’s body in the cottage before returning to the village, where Kitty was informed of Lizzie’s tragic demise. She broke down in tears and needed some fresh air, with Beau somewhat confused given that Kitty and Lizzie had presumably only met.

Kitty, however, explained that Lizzie is the mother of her child.

Lizzie, as viewers know, recently opened up to Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) about having a baby when she was 16.

The baby was given up for adoption in secret, with Lizzie never discussing the birth until last month when Cindy provided a listening ear.

Lizzie set in motion the search for her child, who would now be 10 years old, but she died before she could make much progress, with Cindy determined to carry out the mission in honour of her friend.

Whether or not she will succeed, however, remains to be seen.
