Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (April 23) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on Wednesday April 24 at 7pm.
In a romantic twist that might come as a surprise to you, Grace Black (Tamara Wall) is engaged to marry Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham).
The much-loved village favourite staged her long-awaited on-screen return earlier this week, with Tuesday’s first look streaming edition of the serial giving the answers to the questions they might have.
Having come to care deeply for both Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) and Zara Morgan (Kelly Condron), Grace – as viewers will recall – took the wrap for the heist that the three of them took part in.
As a result, she was jailed.
In typical Grace Black fashion, she seduced the security guard in a bid to get transferred to Scotland but, flash forward a year and she’s back in the eponymous village.
Freddie, meanwhile, did his time in prison and, upon being released, he headed to South Africa to reunite with mum Sandy (Gillian Taylforth), who was in possession of a letter from Fraser Black – Grace’s dead father.
The letter in question is what led Freddie to Grace as he informed her all about Fraser’s fortune, which the two are determined to get her hands on!
Oh boy.
The much-loved favourites ended up falling in love while plotting their scheme, hence their engagement, and it turns out that Grace – with some assistance from Freddie – is intending on breaking out of captivity!
How romantic.
There could, however, be trouble in paradise, as Grace has given Freddie permission to have some fun while she’s still incarcerated, provided that he doesn’t build any romantic connections with anyone.
But, as viewers know, Freddie has started to grow quite fond of Kitty Draper (Iz Hesketh).
Will Grace manage to get out of prison? Will she and Freddie have their happy-ever-after?
And will they manage to get their hands on the cash they’re after? Only time will tell but, in the meantime, what a joy to have Grace back where she belongs!
