“I Was The One Who Chose To Walk Out Of My Marriage, Best Decision Ever” – Tonto Dikeh Says As She Shares Advice She Gave To A Single Mother

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has taken a dig at her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, as she shared the advice she gave to her fellow single mother.

The single mother had privately reached out to her, questioning how she was able to cope when her ex left her and their son. She questioned what advice the movie star had for her as she described herself as a nobody aiming to be somebody soon.

“Good morning ma, please ma, I have a question. How were u able to cope when u and ur ex-husband left u with your child? If there is any advice am ready to learn. I am a nobody aiming to be somebody soon”.

Replying to her, Tonto corrected her that she was the one who left the marriage for her and her son’s sake and it was the best decision she made. She told the woman that she has the power to become the person she aspires to be as long as she commits to growth and invests in herself.

“Good morning,

First and foremost, I was the one who chose to walk away from my marriage, not the other way around. I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just got my own sake, but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made.

Remember, you have the power to become the person you aspire to be, as long as you commit to your growth and invest in yourself. Prioritize the well-being of your children while seeking guidance and strength from God. Sometimes the end of the road is the beginning of your blessings, but please, if your marriage is worth it, fight for your home.
Take care”.

Sharing the message on her Instagram page, she penned a note to single mothers, noting how she doesn’t have a manual to these things, nor is she a pro in it. However, her biggest teacher is love, and she just lets God do his things and draws her strength from Him.

“Dear single mothers,
I don’t have a manual for these things.
I am neither a pro in this movement.
My biggest teacher has been LOVE.
I just let God do his thing, and his thing is enough for me.
Draw strength from God, most especially keep your family matters private”.

The movie star was married to businessman, Olakunle Churchill in 2015, but their marriage hit the rocks in 2017 with claims of infidelity and domestic violence.

Olakunle Churchill has since moved on to marry actress, Rosy Meurer, who he was alleged to have been cheating on. The couple have welcomed two kids, a boy and a girl.

Despite their divorce, the former couple still drag themselves on social media with Tonto accusing him of being a deadbeat father. Last year, on their son’s 7th birthday, Tonto and Churchill filthy dragged each other after the latter celebrated their son. Reacting to his birthday note, Tonto slammed him for only acknowledging their son on his birthday, calling him a deadbeat father and expressed regret having him as the father of her kid.

Hitting back, Churchill shared an audio conversation of Tonto and her ex-boyfriend, Kpokpogri pleading with him not to allow Churchill have access to his son. With series of proofs to back up his claims, Churchill said Tonto restricted all access to his son and claimed that the actress has made things difficult for him and done everything to frustrate him to give up their son.
