A gorgeous Asajj Ventress statue, perfectly capturing the essence of Star Wars’ fan-favorite Nightsister of Dathomir, is currently for sale by Sideshow. Ventress has become an extremely popular character in Star Wars movies and TV shows, most recently appearing in the final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. With Asajj Ventress’ return came a renewed interest in the character. Excitingly, in response, the franchise has confirmed that Ventress will return in an upcoming project, although it remains unclear whether it will be in one of Star Wars’ upcoming TV shows or in an upcoming Star Wars movie.

This statue perfectly reflects why audiences have taken such an interest in Asajj Ventress, as it highlights how powerful and fierce the character is. The nearly two-foot-tall statue depicts Asajj in her traditional black and red outfit, the hood of which can be on or off, honoring her Nightsister origins. The dark side Force-user also stands wielding her two red lightsabers, sculpted with a very unique look. Finishing the look of the statue, Asajj Ventress stands with a skull at her feet.

This statue truly is beautiful and captures the dynamic character that Asajj Ventress is. Although she was a dark side Force-user throughout Star Wars: The Clone Wars and worked alongside Count Dooku as his assassin, her story has become so much more complicated. For one, Ventress suffered terrible grief as a result of the brutal massacre of the Nightsisters, during which she lost the closest thing she had to a family. In part, this statue is beautiful for that reason; it shows the power and the fury of the Nightsisters, both of which are linked to their horrible fates.

Indeed, the statue reflects the duality of Ventress, as both a powerful warrior and a survivor. Moreover, though, the statue gives Asajj Ventress the attention she has more than earned in the franchise as a complex character who went from an ex-Jedi and Sith assassin to a bounty hunter even willing to help Ashoka Tano in The Clone Wars. Since then, Star Wars has only revealed more of Ventress’ complexity and nuance, as she appeared in The Bad Batch season 3, shocking viewers by wielding yellow lightsabers, suggesting that she had turned away from the dark side.

Ventress was undoubtedly well-liked in The Clone Wars, but this recent update suggests that she is becoming even more important to Star Wars, which is a thrilling and deserved update for the character. This statue beautifully captures that level of importance, depicting Ventress’ mutual power and grace in this stunning work of art. The statue, currently available for pre-order, would be an excellent addition to any Star Wars collection, honoring the impact Asajj Ventress has had and continues to have on the franchise.
