    in AMC’s Anne Rice universe.

Interview with the Vampire star Eric Bogosian discusses his character’s possible crossover with The Talamasca, the third drama in AMC’s Anne Rice universe of shows. By the end of Interview with the Vampire season 2, the importance of the secretive Talamasca organization is clear. They are the ones that aid Daniel Molloy (Bogosian) in his sitdowns with vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson). Molloy even wonders, at one point, if the Talamasca can protect him and he gets an unsatisfying answer.

Bogosian addressed the connection between Molloy and the organization in an interview with Screen Rant, discussing whether Molloy could appear in the planned Talamasca spinoff. The actor and playwright gave a mention to Justin Kirk, who plays Talamasca agent Raglan James in Interview with the Vampire season 2, and said he hopes the actor continues to appear. He also hoped to see David Costabile, who plays Leonard Michael. Bogosian stressed that he doesn’t know the plans for the spinoff, though he mentioned a few possible ideas. Read the quote below:

I’m just here. [Laughs] I don’t know what they’re planning for me. I’m available for all kinds of jobs that they may have.

I certainly hope that Justin [Kirk] is going to continue with this Talamasca stuff, but I don’t know. I’m not privy to the negotiations that they’re having. I do know that they’re putting together a strong crew for that, and I am even hoping that maybe David Costabile somehow gets pulled into the Talamasca. I don’t know what they’re planning, but it definitely adds layers and layers and layers of fun stuff that can happen and keeps going with how duplicitous all these characters are with each other.

How much fun would it be Vampire Daniel to say he’s going to go help them out, and then he doesn’t help them out? Or does some other crazy thing to them? My brain isn’t big enough to think of where this is all going. That’s up to other people who are very skilled at doing this stuff.

What’s Known About The Talamasca Spinoff So Far

Rice’s Universe Continues To Expand

The spinoff was announced in June, with the story set to focus on the group responsible for keeping track of witches, werewolves, and various other creatures all over the globe. While that job is dangerous enough on its own, it is also the Talamasca’s job to contain these entities. Already, members of the Talamasca have been introduced in Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, the second Anne Rice spinoff starring Alexandra Daddario, which is currently filming season 2.

Consisting of six episodes, the Talamasca spinoff is scheduled to begin production later this year and film in Manchester, England. John Lee Hancock, who wrote The Blind Side, and Halt and Fire writer-producer Mark Lafferty will be the writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers of the upcoming spinoff. Hancock will also direct the AMC and AMC+ series.
