ISIS prisoners have staged a bloody siege at a Russian prison.

Guards have reportedly been taken hostage by a gang who described themselves as the ‘Mujahedeen of the Islamic State’.

The incident is unfolding in the Volgograd region.

It’s understood the attackers have demanded a helicopter with a pilot, $2million (£1.5million), and an air corridor to the southeast to leave the country.

There are fears of at least one person dead while five uniformed guards were seen lying in pools of blood, according to reports.
