Nigerian comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth, has joined thousands in celebrating veteran actress Patience Ozokwo on her birthday.
Taking to his Instagram page to share a photo of him and the veteran on the set of his project, he recalled the conversation he had with her to be a part of his movie, AGL. According to him, when he called her, without asking for money or a contract, she called him her son and promised to be there for him.
Basketmouth stated that the level of support she showed him meant the world to him as he expressed how blessed he was to share the same birthday with her.
“When I called Mama @patienceozokwo to be a part of #AGLStheMovie, without even asking for money or any contract, her response was “You know you’re my son. I’m there for you whenever you need me.” That level of support meant the world to me.
What a blessing to share the same birthday with a true General.
I celebrate you always”.
In his comment section, Patience appreciated him for making her heart glad as she also wished him a happy birthday and prayed for him.
“This makes my heart glad. Happy birthday to us. May God continue to bless you, guide you, and make His face shine upon you”.

Basketmouth isn’t the only one who has said something sweet about the veteran. A year back, actress and mum of four Mercy Johnson had disclosed how Veteran actress Patience advised her years ago to stop indecent dressing. While reflecting on the past during her chat with the thespian on her cooking show, the veteran reminded Mercy of how she cautioned her against indecent dressing as she noted how her children would see such pictures and know the kind of lifestyle she lives, to which Mercy acknowledged the statement.
Patience Ozokwo has undoubtedly come a long way in the industry and she is finally reaping her rewards
Last year, Patience Ozokwo penned a heartfelt note to her children after she bagged a Lifetime Achievement Award. She recounted how her children sacrificed a lot and stayed without a mother while she was filming. She appreciated them for surrounding her with love and acceptance.
The veteran is already counting down to her 45 years in the industry. In May, she shared a video on her Instagram page, calling for support as she recalled how her journey began with a single step.
