Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has confirmed the wonderful news she is pregnant with her second child after miscarrying quadruplets in 2021.

The actress, best known for her role as Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, confirmed her pregnancy during the latest episode of ITVBe’s Drama Queens.

The reality show follows soap stars and their lives away from filming as their characters. It features the likes of Jorgie, Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach, Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh and Roxy Shahidi, as well as EastEnders icon Rita Simons.

Speaking to the camera, Jorgie revealed: ‘So guys, guess what? I’m pregnant!’.

After also revealing the pregnancy hormones have left her ‘a touch moody’, Jorgie was then seen speaking to partner Oliver Piotrowski who said he’s ‘excited and scared’ about the upcoming journey.

Jorgie was also sat with her young son Forest, who was born in November 2022.

Their baby’s birth followed a tragedy when Jorgie lost her quadruplets at 14 weeks in 2021.

During an episode of Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Jorgie discussed becoming pregnant with quadruplets and the emotional ordeal she went through after being told the embryos had stopped developing.

‘We obviously thought, this is a huge risk. There’s all these complications and all these scary moments of what could happen’, she explained.

‘I don’t remember them [the doctors and nurses] talking much about quads, because they’d never come across this! I don’t think they had much to say to us about it but we’d obviously Google stuff, and you just see the most extreme things.

‘You can lose one, you can lose two, and then they spoke about terminating one and terminating two and I thought, I am not going to take one away from a pack.’

‘It was about three or four months later on in the scans, they were like, “now they’ve not developed any further, we’re going to have to get rid of them, take them out.’

In the aftermath of the surgery, Jorgie made sure to support partner Ollie, who struggled to open up about the loss of the babies.

‘We were arguing and stuff’, she said.

‘I said to him, you have to tell me what you’re feeling and thinking because you keep it in a bit at times. He let loose and told me everything. It’s not just me, the mum, that’s been through this, Ollie as the dad has suffered loss. He’s not able to do anything physically, emotionally, it was a helpless position to be in and he felt like he couldn’t say anything at the time.’

Jorgie also spoke to Giovanna about the moment she fell pregnant with little Forest, revealing that the ordeal with the quads understandably impacted her reaction to the news.

‘I told friends and family around us and they were a bit on pins because no one wanted to get excited for us’, she said.

‘I thought, okay, we can’t really tell everyone again but I told my closest friends as I needed the support.

‘We had to get to the milestones before I let us get excited. I remember Ollie going, let’s go to the Trafford Centre and get a baby grow! I felt like a bit of a fraud. I was like, I don’t know. But I had a big bump, and I was waddling and then thought, it’s time to do these things.
