Kerry Katona has bagged herself an exciting, inevitably lucrative last-minute role.

The ex Atomic Kitten member, 43, is no stranger to the stage, having starred alongside her lookalike daughter Lilly-Sue last year in a pantomime of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

And now, due to another star stepping down for ‘personal reasons’, Kerry will take on a role in a Robin Hood production.

Announcing the casting change, Anton Benson Productions took to social media, confirming that reality TV icon Louie Spence was no longer able to take part, with Kerry taking over.

They wrote: ‘Due to personal reasons, Louie Spence has withdrawn from the production of Robin Hood.

‘We are delighted to announce that the role of Sheriff of Nottingham will now be shared between our friends KERRY KATONA and DIVINA DE CAMPO who have kindly agreed to step in last minute.’

The company added: ‘Kerry will play the role in Redditch, Northampton, Ellesmere Port and Mansfield. Divina will play the role in Clacton, Grimsby and Doncaster.

‘We are sure you will join us in giving them a warm welcome to the cast of Robin Hood.’

In the comments, fans who had already seen Kerry perform were keen to leave glowing reviews.

Instagram user thatt21life wrote: ‘Kerry was wonderful last night! To step in at short notice with no rehearsal time is not for the faint hearted! We was entertaining, witty and down right hilarious. X x’

‘Kerry was amazing yesterday, it was the most chaotic panto . All the cast were amazing and if something went wrong there reaction was so quick’, echoed emychiphall.

‘Gutted that Louie has withdrawn but really hope he is ok, have seen Kerry Katona perform before and she is amazing. Can’t wait to see the show on Thursday evening in Northampton xx’, wrote ellena_anastasiades.

Pineapple Dance Studios star Louie has not shared publicly why he had to withdraw from the panto.

He did, however, take to his Instagram Story on the morning of his 55th birthday, shortly after the announcement landed.

Filming from his bed, he showed off a stunning bouquet of red roses gifted to him by his husband.

Kerry’s new panto role follows reports that she is headed for the States after landing a role in a Hollywood movie.

The Celebrity Big Brother icon is due to make her debut in a romantic comedy after becoming a millionaire thanks to OnlyFans.

Kerry will star in Finding Forever as Nina Bennet, a beauty salon owner, with shooting for the road trip movie starting in spring.

The I’m A Celebrity star signed on with talent agent Donia Youssef of Wonder Talent Management and has said she is training her ‘butt off’ and wants to be ‘taken seriously as an actress’.

‘Kerry is getting buff and training her butt off in prep – this is an intense and emotional six-week intensive course and she is putting blood, sweat and tears into it,’ a source told The Sun.

Her exciting career news came after Kerry’s drastic change in her financial status, as she’s now a leading content creator on subscription site OnlyFans, after previously being declared bankrupt.
