KSI blasted the decision makers who sanctioned Mike Tyson’s comeback fight against Jake Paul and claimed the boxing legend was the victim of ‘elderly abuse’.

The eagerly anticipated contest, which saw Iron Mike make his competitive comeback at the age of 58, degenerated into a sad and predictably one-sided spectacle.

Paul, ultimately, emerged a comprehensive victor on points having confessed to going easy on Tyson in the latter stages, rather than go in search of a spectacular knockout victory.

The YouTuber-turned-fighter extended his unbeaten record, pocketed a huge paycheck for his night’s work and will now turn his attention to his next opponent with the likes of Canelo Alvarez in his sights.

It is the end of the road, surely, meanwhile, for former heavyweight champion Tyson who was made to look a shadow of his former self over the course of the eight-round contest.

KSI, who like Paul, has mixed content creation with a foray into the fight game, voiced his concern ahead of the event by branding Tyson a ‘lamb to the slaughter’ and so it played out as the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ struggled to land a telling punch.

Responding to a defeat that will go down on Tyson’s professional record, KSI said: ‘What a sad watch. Whole thing was sad. Mike Tyson is twice the age of Jake Paul ffs. It was never EVER gonna be close.

‘I can’t believe this elderly abuse was even sanctioned. Just disgusting.’

KSI was hardly alone in that opinion with Eddie Hearn, who had earlier seen his fighter Katie Taylor record a controversial win over Amanda Serrano, revealing he couldn’t stomach more than 30 seconds of the contest.

He said: ‘I didn’t really watch it, I was in Katie Taylor’s changing room. I watched the first 30 seconds which were quite entertaining.

‘After that it was horrible to watch. It was hard to watch and it was always going to be like that… Mike came out like a raging bull, but after that he was gassed.

‘Mike’s a legend and he showed a load of heart, but you just don’t need to see it.’

Despite the comprehensive nature of his defeat, Tyson declared himself content with his performance, saying:  ‘I am happy.

‘I knew he was a good fighter. I knew he was prepared. I didn’t prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. I am just happy with what I can do.’
