Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is to take desperate measures in upcoming EastEnders scenes as the walls close in on her Christmas Day murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
Linda stabbed Keanu with a meat thermometer whilst he was throttling her pal Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and the women, alongside four other of the Square’s leading ladies, buried his body under the floor of the café.
When Sharon jetted off to Australia, they panicked and realised that with less power to move the body, they’d have to cover it over with cement.
Upon her return this week, the floor caved in and Keanu’s remains have subsequently been found.
In upcoming scenes, Linda’s son Johnny (Charlie Suff), who is now in on the plan to keep it secret, represents Sharon at the police station following her arrest for his death.
Despite them both sticking to their original story, that Keanu had left the Queen Vic after attacking Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) with a champagne bottle, the detective offers new evidence which throws them.
Back in Walford, Johnny and the women gather to reaffirm the story before being requestioned, but as Sharon remains in custody, Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) hatch a new plan which leaves Linda reeling.
After summoning the women to the barrel store for one more tense conversation, she tells a fabricated story to the police which leaves them wondering why she withheld the information.
Has Linda accidentally dropped herself in it?
