Crystal Palace have raised their price to sign England Euro 2024 star Marc Guehi, amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Guehi was arguably England’s best and most consistent player throughout the European Championships, playing all but one game as the Three Lions fell short at the final hurdle.

His impact caught many by surprise given his lack of international experience, having only become a starting player after Harry Maguire was forced to miss the tournament through injury.

Guehi was the only Three Lions star to be named in Opta’s Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament, though he was snubbed in UEFA’s official XI, with Kyle Walker shockingly included instead.

Palace fans have long known about the centre-back’s quality having quietly impressed at Selhurst Park over the past three seasons, but it’s no secret anymore with a host of clubs interested in his signature.

Liverpool, United, Arsenal and Newcastle have been linked, as have Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus, with Guehi reportedly turning down a new contract offer from the Eagles.

But signing the 23-year-old will be far from easy, with The Times reporting that Palace have upped his valuation from £50million to over £70m.

This not only reflects his Euros heroics but is also because Chelsea are set bank 20 per cent of any profit made from his sale after they sold him to the South London club in 2021 for £18m.

It is this high asking price that saw Arsenal cool their interest and pursue Italy’s Riccardo Calafiori instead, while United have likewise looked at other targets, with Leny Yoro now set to sign from Lille.

Liverpool are still tracking Guehi however, and with just two years left on his contract, Palace may consider cashing in while his valuation is as high as it is.

Oliver Glasner’s side have already secured a potential long-term replacement in the form of Chadi Riad, but are under no pressure to sell their star players having already banked £50.8m from the sale of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich.
