UK weather has broken temperature records this week, with Wednesday being the hottest day of the year so far.

Mercury in Wisley hit 30.5°C in Wisley, Surrey, on Wednesday, the Met Office said.

The last of the heatwave lingered above London, the far South East and East Anglia on Thursday before cooler air began flowing in from the Atlantic.
As London enjoyed the last of the warm spell, northwestern Scotland and Northern Ireland were hit by ‘unseasonably’ rainy weather with strong gusts, with the low pressure moving across rest of Scotland, north of England and Wales into Friday morning.

The morning commute should be less sweaty than the previous days, with temperatures hitting 15°C by 8am.

Today, revelers can expect sunny intervals changing to light showers by late morning.
Saturday will see highs of 21°C with some blue skies, with Sunday forecast showing around 20°C with overcast and sunny intervals.
