Louis Walsh has let slip the jaw-dropping amount he was paid for his recent stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former X Factor judge, 71, made it all the way to the final of the reality series, which saw Ibiza Weekender star David Potts take out the title.
Although there were rumours about how much Sharon Osbourne was paid to appear as a special house guest, Louis has now spilled on how much he took home.
Despite the fact he was once certain he would never ever appear on the reality series; he was eventually convinced after three years.
‘They said I was going to be safe, it was going to be fun, that I would probably win it. I told them I don’t want to win it. Don’t waste it on me. Give it to someone else,’ he said.
“They said they really, really wanted me. They kept on at me, and still I said no, because I was scared. I don’t want to be a celebrity. It’s a fake world. I have no desire. I like music and staying under the radar. I still haven’t watched it. And I don’t want to.’
However, it was the allure of a massive pay check that drew him in.
‘They paid me a lot of money,’ he added when speaking to the Irish Independent.
After being asked if he was paid around £350,000, the music manager apparently had a ‘look of horror on his face’ before sharing he earned close to £850,000.
However, he did concede he would never do it again, sharing: ‘It was nothing like I thought it would be. It wasn’t easy.’
An insomniac, Louis said struggling to sleep in the house ‘did something’ to him and he became ‘agitated’.
With the other housemates snoring throughout the night, he ‘couldn’t wait for the morning’.
Despite being out of the house for more than a week now, Louis said it’s taken him time to re-adjust to not having cameras and microphones capture his every move, which he explained left him feeling ‘vulnerable’.
Throughout his time on the show Louis came under fire for taking aim at many other famous, including acts he used to manage like Jedward and Ronan Keating.
He’s now said he was happy to play the ‘villain’ as everyone else was ‘f***ing boring’
During an interview on This Morning last week Louis also claimed his nationality was the reason behind his barbed jibes.
‘I think it’s an Irish thing, we tend to say what we feel,’ he explained on the ITV daytime show.
