Love Is Blind stars Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski and Zack Goytowski have welcomed their first baby together.
The reality stars, who met and married on season 4 of the Netflix show, announced the arrival of their daughter and revealed her unique name: Galileo Terri Rayne.
The little one arrived weighing 7lbs, 11oz, and the first time parents took to social media with a gorgeous video celebrating Galileo with a message for fans.
‘We hope you dance our beautiful baby girl. Galileo Terri Rayne Goytowski born on a sunny April day in Seattle,’ they said.
Fans congratulated Bliss and Zack, while some were curious about the name – made popular by 17th century Galileo Galilei, who is seen by many as the ‘hero’ of modern science.
‘How do you pronounce the name?’ asked follower elenaepic, while another fan offered: ‘Gah le lay oh.’
Another suggested the pronunciation is just as Freddie Mercury sang it in Queen’s hit Bohemian Rhapsody, when he repeats the name in the crescendo of the song.
‘We are so in love with our precious, beautiful baby girl,’ the couple told People.
‘We are forever changed and are so blessed to spend the rest of our lives loving her. She is our moon, our stars, the center of our universe.’
Perhaps her being their universe is an added inspiration behind the name, as Galileo made huge contributions to the world of astrology, having discovered the four largest moons of Jupiter.
However, in the comments, Bliss explained the meaning behind her daughter’s unique name.
‘A powerful name for a powerful little lady: Galileo was not only one of the great brilliant minds of time but the name also represents the area where Jesus performed his miracles,’ she wrote.
‘Terri is after @zackgoytowski ‘s beautiful angel mama who l know will always watch over our baby girl. Rayne means blessings and Queen. We call her Leo (Lay-o) for short.’
Zack added: ‘My little professor, I can’t wait to see how you change the world. You’ve already changed mine.’
Before they welcomed Galileo, Bliss told People she was excited to see their baby explore the world.
‘And hopefully, if we do things right, to see what they can contribute and how they can make the world a better place. I think that’s one of the most powerful things we can do as human beings and I really hope that for our child.
‘And I just can’t wait to kiss its cheeks and its little toes and just give it love. And I’m excited to see it experience love and life and all of that.”
Zack added that he hoped their baby would bring ‘happiness and joy’ into the world to make it a better place.
‘No matter what we do as parents, we’re never going to do everything right,’ he said.
‘I’m going to make tons of mistakes… but I think the only thing that really matters is that I make our child know that I love them and that I believe that they can do whatever they set their mind to.’
