A man has been caught carrying a machete outside a London Underground station.
Witnesses said police arrived ‘very quickly’ after the alarm was raised near Clapham North station in south London at around 6.45pm on Sunday.
Footage filmed from a nearby pub appears to show a plain-clothed officer holding the large blade while the suspect was cuffed on the ground.
A bystander told MailOnline other people on the street were ‘terrified’ by the incident, although nobody was hurt.
He said: ‘I had been watching the football at the pub and after the game I heard police sirens going off. And then I saw police arresting the bloke.’
The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
