Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command Sunday confirmed that that a man jumped into the river and died under the influence of hard drugs called Colorado.
This was contained in a statement made available to Blueprint by the police spokesperson, O. Hundeyin, in Lagos state.
He said the incident occurred on October 11,2024, at about 11hours, adding that a complaint was reported Alagbado division that one Kazeem, 45-year- old under the influence of hard drugs suspected to be Colorado ran and jumped into river, called Odo Tente, located at the boundary between Lagos and Ogun state.
“Sequels to this, the victim was drowned in the rivwer and he died,” he said.
‘The scene was immediately visited by the detectives of the division and photographs of the deceased were taken and when contacted, his father through phone directed that the corpse should be buried immediately by the river side, according to their tradition,” Hundeyin stated.
However, investigation is ongoing on facts associated to his death.
