Manchester United have ramped up a move for Gremio winger Gustavo Nunes as the club looks for greater value in the transfer market.

The 18-year-old, who only made his debut for the club in February, is widely considered one of the brightest talents in Brazil.

Nunes has already attracted interest from England in the form of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, while Real Madrid and Barcelona are already interested.

Clubs are looking for greater value in the transfer market given restrictions over Financial Fair Play and United are particularly affected, given they are not going to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

And the Daily Mail say a leading United scout was present in Porto Algere last week to scout Nunes during Gremio’s Copa Libertadores defeat to Huachipato.

Nunes came on at half-time during the defeat, and impressed despite his side’s performance.,

United’s budget is likely to be restricted this summer and the club must raise funds through player sales.

Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Casemiro, Antony, Raphael Varane, Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof are just several high profile names that could leave.

United are yet to make a decision over Erik ten Hag’s future.

The Dutchman has a year left on his deal.
