A masked man brandished huge zombie knives in broad daylight outside of a school.
Footage posted on X shows the man walking around residential areas holding the two weapons in Nottingham, despite the fact they were banned.
Two brave bystanders confronted him, saying: ‘Look at you. Think you’re a f***ing hard man with a knife? Get gone.’
The weapon holder tries to lunge at the pair and says something in reply, but it was muffled by his mask.
He then turns to walk away while making an obscene gesture with one of his hands.
The person holding the camera shouted: ‘I’d f*** off and all.’
One person on Facebook claimed the incident had taken place outside their grandchildren’s school, with all pupils being sent home for the day.
Zombie knives are defined as a blade over eight inches in length with a sharp point and plain cutting edge, and either a serrated edge or spikes.
Ministers have promised to crack down on the knives, and in September they were banned in England and Wales.
But they are still available to buy online, with some even being sold for less than £20.
Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted for comment.
