In a McDonald’s first, the fast-food giant has slashed the price of the fan-favourite menu item: Chicken McNuggets.

The delicious chicken breast bites are almost 50% off, with six McNuggets costing just £2.49 or nine McNuggets costing £3.49.

But, there’s a catch. Brace yourselves: McDonald’s want you to share.

The cut price nuggets celebrate the launch of a new ‘Pre-Nug Agreement’, a tongue-in-cheek contract the fast food giant is encouraging best friends to sign to agree to always share their McNuggets.

A video on their Instagram page describes the agreement as ‘the first official document that contractually binds two people and their McNuggets together forever.’

But we want ALL of them (Picture: AP)

Personally, we wouldn’t say even a 20 Chicken McNugget Sharebox is big enough to share (that’s a post-night out snack), but clearly Maccies has other ideas.

For the length of the cut price deal – from today until April 14 – they want besties to share their nuggets, and make their Pre-Nug Agreement Instagram official by using a limited-edition social filter on the McDonald’s Instagram page.

The deal is for a limited time only, available both in-store and via the McDonald’s App.

The Pre-Nug Agreement contracts will be available to download on McDonald’s social media channels or, if you happen to be treating yourself in-store, you can pick up a copy in any McDonald’s restaurant across the UK.

If you’re opting to get your discount Chicken McNuggets delivered, six nuggets will cost you £3.49 while nine will cost you £4.49. While a sharebox of the 20 McNuggets are available for the promotional price of £4.49 – this means you’re making savings of up to £1.90.

And this isn’t the only news coming from the golden arches this week.

The fast-food chain is bringing back not one, but four insanely popular items, and launching a brand new burger to boot.

Chicken lovers will be thrilled to learn that the twist on the iconic Big Mac, the Chicken Big Mac, is making its triumphant return this month and will cost £4.69.

The burger features two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles, and Big Mac sauce all packed inside that recognisable triple layered bun.

McDonald’s is also launching a brand new Quarter Pounder Deluxe (£4.89), with a 100% beef patty with mustard, ketchup, onion, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, pickles and two cheese slices, all served in a toasted sesame seed topped bun.

The Biscoff McFlurry is also (£1.99) back on the menu very soon, as well as a brand new Biscoff Frappe (£2.99).
