A man was found stabbed to death in east London last night as another man with knife injuries was arrested.
Officers responding to reports of a man suffering stab injuries in Rothwell Gardens, Dagenham, attended the scene and quickly found a second man suffering critical stab injuries in a nearby road.
London Ambulance Service called police at around 01:30hrs on Saturday, 20 April.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 23-year-old died at the scene.
Police officers believe they know the identification of the deceased, and are making urgent enquiries to contact his family.
The condition of the second man is not believed to be life-threatening, and he was discharged from hospital and arrested in connection with the investigation.
He remains in police custody.
