Mysterious glowing objects that some have described as car-sized drones have been hovering near President-elect Donald Trump’s golf course in New Jersey.
The lights spotted over Morris County – just north of Somerset County which includes Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster – and are now under investigation by the FBI.
Northern New Jersey residents have reported seeing the flying objects nightly since mid-November.
CCTV footage captured what looked like drones with red and green lights on the wings. Some witnesses said they appeared to be as big as cars, while others have gone so far as to speculate that they are UFOs.
As their nature remains unknown, some residents are restless.
‘We’re all completely unnerved. I didn’t sleep last night,’ Morris County resident Julie Shavalier told NBC News on Tuesday.
‘When I would get up and look out my window at 2am, 4am, they were still hovering. I got up at 5.30am this morning and they were still there as the sun was starting to rise.
‘They went back in the same direction they came from, and I expect they’ll be back as soon as the sun goes down tonight.’
Another resident, Mike Walsh, said he has observed the objects ‘every night except Thanksgiving’ and, ‘I guess they took the night off.’
An FBI official told the news outlet: ‘We are working with our state and local partners on the reported drone activity.’
To address growing concerns, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon in a Facebook post late Monday wrote that ‘there is no advisable immediate danger to the public at this time’.
The sheriff then invited the public to assist in the the search for answers.

‘We often receive information from our neighbors that may be helpful because of their own individual talents,’ Gannon wrote.
‘If you are a photographer, please send us your higher resolution captures of the questionable flights.’
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) banned drone flights over Trump National Golf Club and the nearby Picatinny Arsenal Military Base in Rockaway from November 22 to December 26.
”We look into all reports of unauthorized drone operations and investigate when appropriate,’ stated the FAA, according to the Daily Mail.
Just days afterward, the FBI announced it started to look into the sightings.
Trump has multiple golf courses across the country and world. He was golfing at Trump National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, in mid-September when Secret Service agents spotted a man pointing a rifle through a fence and foiled an assassination attempt.
