Neighbours is lining up an epic Christmas and season finale, with a number of locals’ lives left hanging in the balance following a collision with a car.
To celebrate another epic year on Ramsay Street, there’s a spectacular two-hander episode between Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) on their journey to track down his son Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) and Seb Metcalfe (Rarmian Newton).
Will they finally reunite? #Praise fans, this one is for you!
Elsewhere, Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis) delivers a troubling ultimatum, and is devastated when it doesn’t go how she envisioned.
Yaz Shields (Chrishell Stause) continues to target Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) and goes to great lengths to dish dirt on her. Realising that her plan isn’t going smoothly, she delivers a menacing gift to her house on Christmas Day.
Elsewhere, Vera Punt (Sally Anne Upton) faces spending yuletide alone, whilst an old face is spotted in Melbourne – which threatens to change Paul’s life forever.
As we bid farewell to Erinsborough this year, I have the final slice of gossip that will put you right in the mood for some early festive drama from our favourite Australian soap! Read on…
Special two-hander: Monday, December 16
On their journey into the unknown to hunt down Leo and Seb, Terese insists taking control of the car as Paul almost hits a kangaroo.
The pair seem to be getting along swimmingly, but after she boosts his spirits, Paul is brought back down to earth when he finds the remnants of Leo’s shirt caught on a barbed wire fence by a derelict house.
Fearing that he’s lost another son, he makes his way through the bush and finds a deathly cliff edge. Reminded of David’s (Takaya Honda) death, he breaks down. Luckily, Leo messages to say he’s arrived safely back to Erinsborough.
Things are tense on the drive home following his emotional outburst, and soon they’re forced to pull over at a nearby town to stay overnight due to landslides in the area.
Inside the cabin, after Paul admits his deepest fears, he and Terese are taken aback to see that it has been catered for a romantic getaway – complete with heart shaped chocolates.
The awkwardness soon fizzles out and they chat about their lives and marriage over dinner. There’s clearly a spark between these two, but the conversation is shut down and they go to bed.
Realising that neither of them can sleep, they come together for a late night chat and finally acknowledge their chemistry.
The next morning, Paul awakes to find Terese overlooking the lake. Feeling like it’s time to reconcile, he makes it clear that they should give things another go.
What will she say?
Tuesday, December 17
Following their picnic date, Nicolette (Hannah Monson) asks Yaz to join her at an open mic night.
Their meeting goes swimmingly until Yaz becomes emotional and confesses that she recently lost her brother and is dealing with her grief – but doesn’t giveaway Heath’s (Ethan Panizza) identity.
As the two chat about loved ones they’ve lost, Yaz leans in for a kiss. Nic is thrilled, but less so when she’s left alone in the hotel room.
Unbeknownst to her, she’s snuck off to counsellor Rhonda Del Rubio’s (Rebekah Robertson) office to steal Holly’s therapy files!
Elsewhere, Seb is back in town and crashing on Krista’s sofa. She decides to face off with her old best pal, and he realises that there is too much water under the bridge for her to forgive him.
He’s still despite for cash, and sticks to his story about owing loan sharks. Krista struggles to believe him, and delivers an ultimatum – she can help him get sober, or he can take the money and never contacts her again.
To her surprise and devastation, he takes the second option.
Leo and Krista believe their ordeal is firmly over, not realising that he’s hiding away in an empty shed on Power Road.
Wednesday, December 18
Yaz revels in the glory of discovering Holly’s files and decides to play on her vulnerabilities in the hope she confesses to causing Heath’s death.
Luckily for Holly, she doesn’t want to jeopardise her new job and stays quiet on the events of the outback.
Yaz has other issues – as Aaron (Matt Wilson) challenges Nic to ask why she’s rejected her after they slept together. Nicolette reluctantly asks her, and is given a reasonable explanation.
To thank him for giving her the courage to speak up, Nic presents Aaron with a formal certificate that details his adoption of Isla. Jane (Annie Jones) is over the moon to see they’re back on good terms and asks her to move back home for Christmas.
On Ramsay Street, Vera returns home and is dismayed to learn that Max (Ben Jackson) is being kicked out of the share house and makes it her mission to convince Byron (Xavier Molyneux) and Sadie (Emerald Chan) to change their minds.
She decides to hold a Christmas Day brunch with a unique twist, and won’t take no for an answer! The housemates decide that they’re sick of her controlling their lives and that the occasion is better spent in the company of friends and family.
Little do they know, Vera has overheard their every word and is devastated.
As the Varga-Murphys prepare for their last minute trip to New York, Dex (Marley Williams) finds Seb camping out…
Season finale: Thursday, December 19
It’s Christmaaaaaaaas!
At Jane’s house, Nicolette is elated to be back under the same roof as Aaron, Isla and her mum. They’re planning to go all-out with Byron, Sadie and Holly, but disaster strikes when Trevor the dog runs off with the turkey.
Paul comes to the rescue, and they gather at the penthouse for a heartwarming celebration filled with love, family and friendship.
Someone arrives looking for Seb, and using the information that Dex gave him, Leo tips them off about where he’s living.
Before they jet off to The States, Holly visits the Varga-Murphys with a present for Cara (Sara West) – but Dex rejects it. JJ (Riley Bryant) encourages him to put their mother before himself and he’s forced to apologise.
As they arrive at the airport, Cara spots her sister Chelsea (Viva Bianca) – who Paul had a fling with earlier in the year – and she’s pregnant!
Is Paul about to become a father for the EIGHTH time?!
Yaz decides to join Nic for Christmas, but when she learns that Holly has been added to the invite list she pulls out. In an act of revenge, she arranges for a present from beyond the grave to be delivered to the Kennedy house…
How will Holly feel when she finds the gift from ‘Heath’?
After cancelling the brunch, Vera sits alone and is discovered by Max. He decides to grab some burgers from Grease Monkeys so they can spend the day together.
On his journey down Power Road, he runs into Byron and Sadie when a car suddenly drives towards Seb.
Following a sickening thud, Max, Sadie and Seb are lay unconscious.
Will they survive? Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until 2025 to find out! Neighbours returns on 6th January.
Neighbours streams Monday to Thursday from 7am on Amazon Prime Video.
