Neighbours has lined up yet another jam-packed week for the residents of Ramsay Street as Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) reels from the shock of Abigail’s drugs overdose.
It’s Karl Kennedy’s (Alan Fletcher) final day at Erinsborough Hospital, but a creepy doctor begins to make advances on Remi (Naomi Rukavina) and Cara (Varga-Murphy) and he’s forced to lay down the law.
Elsewhere, there’s a big arrival when Haz Devkar’s (Shiv Palekar) sister Amira (Maria Thattil) arrives at the hospital and starts causing trouble for Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone).
Sadie Rodwell (Emerald Chan) struggles under the weight of Vic Stone’s (Craig Hall) lies, and Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) oversteps the mark with wife Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou).
So skip that tuba lesson with Harold Bishop, kick back on the sofa and read on as I divulge everything that’s happening in the Amazon Freevee soap next week…
Light at the end of the tunnel for Leo and Krista
Following on from last week’s devastating cliffhanger, Leo discovers that Abigail has swallowed the pills dropped by drug dealer Shannon and rushes her to Erinsborough hospital. Remi explains that without identifying the drugs, they’ll have to pump the youngster’s stomach.
Guilt-ridden, Krista (Majella Davis) pipes up and identifies the contents as opioids and luckily Abigail is nursed back to full health. However, Leo is dead set on revenge.
Tracking down Shannon, he informs her that he’s passed the bag with her fingerprints to the police and vows to finish her if she ever crosses his family again.
Later, Leo is grateful of Krista’s support during the ordeal and realises how well they work together. As Paul (Stefan Dennis) watches on with a smile, the two kiss.
The end of an era for Karl
After thirty years of serving Erinsborough Hospital, Karl anticipates a big fanfare for his final day but is left disappointed when nobody acknowledges it. Remi announces she’s been promoted and asks her to join him that night for a drink.
Unaware that the drink was just a reuse to get him to The Waterhole for a surprise party, he turns up at No. 24 and asks Aaron (Matt Wilson) to join him for a bike ride. Also unaware of the celebration, Aaron pops on his lycra and heads out.
With the residents gathering to pay tribute to Karl’s many years of service, Remi receives a text from him cancelling their catch-up and quick-thinking Susan (Jackie Woodburne) has to enlist Aaron in on her plan to get him to join her for a ‘dinner’ instead.
When he arrives, he basks in the golden glow of the appreciation, and makes a speech saying he’s overjoyed to pass the baton to Remi. However, later in the night, Gavin tells an uncomfortable Karl that he’d like to get physical with Remi and her wife Cara.
He decides to report Gavin’s comments to HR but thinks it’s best if Remi remains unaware.
Toadie oversteps the mark
Terese is elated when wealthy widow Shirley Burchmore and her friends plan a tour of Eirini Rising with a view to buying the remaining units. However, the viewing clashes with Toadie’s plans to rebuild their relationship, but he understands and cancels.
Susan’s straight-laced sales tactics fail to impress Terese, and Toadie is forced to jump in and offer the pensioners free legal services at Rebecchi Law should they sign on the dotted line.
Later, ahead of Karl’s party, Terese thanks Toadie for his help and gives him a grateful hug, but he misreads it and leans in for a kiss which startles her.
Full of remorse, the two agree to put it behind them until after the celebration, whilst Susan remains hopeful of addressing their simmering work tension.
Later, Terese confesses to Toadie that she’s not ready for physical affection and is grateful when he agrees to move slower and follow her lead.
A new arrival stirs trouble for Mackenzie
Mackenzie is stunned when Haz’s sister Amira arrives and refuses her access to his hospital room. Holly insists that she stands her ground and later, Mack finds herself in a tense argument whilst a croaky Haz awakes from his coma…
Amira maintains that only family should be around him, but he’s adamant to see his ex-girlfriend.
Later, after finally speaking, they admit to one another that they still share mutual feelings and Haz asks if he can have another chance, but Amira butts in before Mack can answer.
Alone with her brother, Amira explains that his accident has made her and their parents realise they miss him and they want him to return to Western Australia, with nothing left for him in Erinsborough anymore.

Haz is torn by her suggestion, wanting to reunite with his family but also planning on settling back into life at No. 32.Ultimately, his decision to stay or go rests on one question – can Mackenzie definitively forgive him and stop comparing him to Hendrix?
Holly (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) suggests that she should fight to convince him to stay, but she’s not convinced it’s the right move. Mack takes Trevor into the hospital to visit Haz, and Amira gets an insight into their relationship and concedes that they have a solid bond.
He decides he wants to stay and make things work, and Amira is happy to abide by his decision, but she’s sticking around to ensure it goes smoothly.
Vic’s BIG secret is exposed!
Sadie continues to struggle with keeping the revelation that Vic is a millionaire a secret and later, confesses to Wendy (Candice Leask) that she still thinks about the damaging consequences of when she kept things quiet for Paul.
Confessed by her admission, Wendy speaks with Byron (Xavier Molyneux) and Vic, leaving the former confused and the latter realising the unintentional burden he’s unfairly placed on Sadie’s shoulders.
Meanwhile, Byron continues to think that his dad is making his girlfriend uncomfortable, and after finding her in tears, leaps to the wrong conclusion and lashes out. Eager to defend himself, Vic comes clean.
As his family reel from the admission, Byron disappears and Aaron encourages him to speak with his dad. But coming face to face proves to be too much, and he angrily explodes with emotion at everything he’s done.
Elsewhere in the most-liveable suburb…
Whilst out riding his bike, Karl catches a glimpse of the phantom public pooper and notices he’s wearing a YAHMIL (Young and Hot Men in Lycra) jersey.
Determined to clear his ‘Dr. Pooper’ name, and bring the true culprit to justice, Karl enlists Aaron’s help to infiltrate the YAHMILs. Will they be able to succeed?
Meanwhile, Leo struggles with trying to find staff for Yorokobi and Cara suggests that JJ (Riley Bryant) would be a perfect fit for the winery whilst he’s waiting to return to school.
Knowing of JJ’s troubling behaviour, Leo isn’t too keen, but a conversation with Toadie and Terese assures him that sometimes, teens turn into successful adults when they’re given a chance at independence.
However, when they return home to No. 22 they find that Nell (Ayisha Salem-Towner) has avoided her homework and is hanging out with JJ instead. Perhaps Toadie’s spoke too soon!
