The repercussions of Holly Hoyland’s (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) actions continue to trouble her in Neighbours next week, as she finds out whether she’ll face charges for stealing Heath Royce’s (Ethan Panizza) cash.
Ramsay Street’s residents are still reeling following the horrific Waterhole siege, that saw a number of our much-loved neighbours held at gunpoint.
Felix Rodwell (James Beaufort) continues to try and make amends throughout Erinsborough, with one person offering him a new opportunity in the wake of his heroic behaviour. But will Cara Varga-Murphy (Sara West) be so forgiving?
Elsewhere, Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden) is back on the dating scene and has a mystery new fella hanging onto her every word… but will he all he seems?
Plus, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) gives into Paul Robinson’s (Stefan Dennis) niceties and the two enjoy lunch together. We’re hoping that this could finally lead to a ‘Praise’ reunion!
Here’s Metro.co.uk’s guide to everything that’s happening in Neighbours next week…
Monday, September 30
Following Andrew’s discovery that Wendy spent the night with Quinn in The Waterhole office during the hostage situation, she struggles to explain herself which further upsets her husband.
Sadie is sick of being caught between her parents’ drama, but can’t help but feel sorry for her mum’s predicament when she learns that Quinn tricked her into meeting him under the pretence that he was her new mentor.
In order to make amends, Wendy approaches Andrew with a view to getting an intervention order against her uni pal. However, the idea backfires when he suggests that she is the problem.
He goes on to reveal that her surprise appearance in the pub caused him to freeze up in front of his colleagues and to humiliate himself in front of his boss – therefore jeopardising the safety of everyone involved.
Wendy’s efforts to win Andrew back continue, but he’s heard the same speech too many times to care.
Elsewhere, having come clean to the police about stealing Heath’s money, Holly is allowed to return home without a charge… for now. Karl, Susan and Byron make attempts to keep her mind off what might transpire, though when she learns that she could get a 10 year stretch if convicted, she quickly spirals.
There is a silver lining – Paul is thankful to her for saving his life, and promises that she’ll always have a job at Lassiters, no matter what her future holds.
Later, Terese checks in on Paul and it’s not long before they are both drawn into the comfort of their old routine. When she realises that she’s under his spell once again, she flees to Susan for advice.
The Kennedys are so focussed on Holly’s issues that they’re unable to see that she’s desperate for company. Instead, Terese heads over to No. 24 and tries to see Jane – only to find that she is also in her own bubble.
Disheartened, she returns home and bumps into Paul en route. He offers her companionship, and a shoulder to cry on, but she turns down her temptation and feigns enthusiasm over the idea of having an empty house.
She embarks on a night of self-care… but when confronted with a reminder of the life Toadie’s taken from her, she falls to pieces.
Tuesday, October 1
Terese wakes up and finds the living room covered in the remains of broken picture frames from her rage the night before. Jane calls by, and she quickly hides what’s left in a box so she can’t ask uncomfortable questions.
Later, Remi clocks Terese’s unease around Paul and offers compassionate counsel. She confesses that she wants to go to him, but her gut is saying otherwise. However, before she has a choice, he arrives at No. 22 with lunch…
…and she gives into her impulses, inviting him in!
Is a ‘Praise’ reunion finally on the cards?!
As the two chat, they’re wary not to overstep the mark with one another. When he gets up to make a cup of tea, he notices she’s fallen asleep on the sofa. He covers her with a blanket and leaves, doing the right thing for once.
Elsewhere, Nicolette is frustrated that her mum can’t take Isla for the day as she’s busy with work, and feels lectured and patronised when Jane suggests she should be more organised with childcare.
With Isla playing in the kitchen at Harold’s Cafe, Nic attempts to offload her onto Aaron, but he becomes annoyed with the suggestion.
Whilst the two argue, they hear a horrifying shriek from beyond the serving hatch – Isla has burnt her hand.
The dramas don’t stop there for Nic, as Krista is furious that she didn’t warn her about a planned WiFi outage and has also failed to help her with her laundry.
Krista vents to Leo about what’s happened and suggests it could be time for her to move out of the share house. Byron overhears, and begs her to stay.
He’s also dealt another dilemma – Melanie, who has been taken on as entertainment consultant for the Boylesque performance fundraiser, asks him to perform. Byron insists that whilst he’s happy to get involved, he’s not taking his kit off.
When Aaron pulls him into an impromptu dance routine, he admits he’s having fun and agrees to help out.
Wednesday, October 2
After Isla’s brush with danger, a mighty row breaks out between Nicolette, Aaron and Jane. Nic points out that their ongoing efforts to punish her are only hurting Isla further.
Despite their misgivings, they manage to reach a fragile truce and decide to have a more honest and open approach to co-parenting.
Over at Lassiters, Krista is working overtime to avoid going home and having to deal with Nicolette. Leo attempts to broach the subject of them moving in together, but Melanie manages to jump in first and offers her a spare room at the Eclipse Apartments.
She’s more than happy to accept the offer, and before long they fall into their old routine from when they first met in the UK. With the two ladies enjoying their new set up, Mel opens up about a mystery man she’s met on a dating app.
Who is the lucky fella, and should she be worried about getting her hopes up?
Elsewhere, Dex is concerned about JJ’s state of mind after losing Nell, and the family rally together to join a trivia competition. Their efforts seem to be working, until fresh news about Felix derails their plan.
At Eirini Rising, Harold shows new resident Gino Esposito around the site and they stumble across Felix in a moment of prayer. When he admits that he’s looking for a job, Harold puts him in touch with Karl, knowing that he needs someone to work at The 82 tram.
Susan is still overwhelmed with gratitude towards the ex-con’s help during the siege, and urges her husband to give him a shot.
Soon, Cara learns of Felix’s new prospect and charges towards Karl to demand an answer. He reveals that Felix had set a condition that it needed to be cleared with the Varga-Murphys first – surprising Cara.
Remi suggest that the idea has merit, which could potentially open up a rift in the women’s marriage…
Thursday, October 3
The drama continues for Remi and Cara as they disagree over Felix’s nice guy act.
Is he definitely a changed man?
When Cara spots Felix in JJ’s vicinity again, she makes a fateful decision…
