Neighbours legend returns as another local’s death is ‘confirmed’ | Soaps

Neighbours harks back to the very beginning this week (Picture: Amazon Prime Video/Metro)

A much-loved Erinsborough resident faces death in Neighbours next week following a lethal accident.

If that wasn’t enough to keep you intrigued, original character Shane Ramsay (Peter O’Brien) returns to the Amazon Prime Video soap – with his son Max (Ben Jackson) in tow.

This marks a new era of the Ramsay family on the street named after their family!

Elsewhere, Cara (Sara West) and Remi Varga-Murphy (Naomi Rukavina) face a set back in their desire to have another child, plus Karl (Alan Fletcher) and Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) pick up the pieces following Terese Willis’ (Rebekah Elmaloglou) shock departure.

There’s an update on Melanie Pearson’s (Lucinda Cowden) future, and a whole lot more in my round-up of next week’s goings-on down under.

Monday, November 11

Karl and Susan are drowning in work in the wake of Terese’s departure, and are at a loss as to why several of the Eirini residents are requesting reports detailing exaggerated ailments.

Nicolette (Hannah Monson) warns the that a group of the pensioners, led by Moira (Robyn Arthur), have been holding serious meetings at the coffee shop and Karl suspects that they could be planning legal action in the wake of the gas leak.

It’s hoped that Harold (Ian Smith) can talk some sense into the group, and dissuade them from taking it any further. Luckily, he succeeds and makes Moira realise that her motivations were stemmed from loneliness rather than a genuine grievance.

Elsewhere, Melanie is still furious with Nic’s revelation that Vic (Craig Hall) is a serial cheater, and vents to Krista (Majella Davis) when he tries to engage with her. Krista doubts what’s been said, but holds her tongue and encourages her to talk to him in the hope of learning the truth.

Taking her friend’s advice, Mel tells Vic that he should be with Jane (Annie Jones) and that all they ever had together was a brief flirtation. Stung by her words, he commits to giving the relationship with his ex-wife another go.

Jane is pleased – hoping that she’ll finally get her happily ever after – but when Nic bursts her bubble and admits what she said to Mel, she opts against telling Vic to preserve her happiness.

Tuesday, November 12

Vic continues to shy away from intimacy and Jane is left unsatisfied. She decides to come clean about their daughter’s meddling, and decides to take control and focus on herself.

Meanwhile, Mel wants to think about her own future and big adventure ahead. It’s easier said than done, but a guilty Nicolette spurs her on. Vic soon arrives at her apartment and asks for a second chance, and she’s tempted.

What will she decide?

Elsewhere, a careless new arrival in Erinsborough knocks Holly (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) into the pond at the complex. The lad, Max, doesn’t realise what he’s done and she’s furious. Byron (Xavier Molyneux) charges over to confront him about his actions and the argument almost turns physical.

Holly’s already had a dramatic day after being contacted by Liv from the Crimesborough podcast, who has emotionally blackmailed her into doing a tell-all interview about her experience with Heath in the outback.

She feels she owes Liv, and Mel offers her some advice. Later, she and Byron bump into Max again and prepare for round two.

Their jaws hit the floor when they realise that Max is the son of OG Erinsborough resident Shane Ramsay, who has returned to the area under mysterious circumstances and in the wake of his break-up from Izzy, Holly’s mum.

He remains cagey around the details, and won’t reveal why he’s brought his son to live in the area.

To make matters worse, Vera (Sally Ann Upton) has just signed him on to live in the share house…

Wednesday, November 13

The revelation that Max has come to live on the street is too much to handle, and the fact he’s landed a plush new position at Lassiters Hotel outrages Byron and Holly further.

Max tries to smooth things over with the duo, but they refuse to budge.

Elsewhere, Vic lays down the law with Nicolette and she’s thrown to discover that he’s broken up with her mum over Melanie.

Jane apologies to Vic and offers to speak with Mel to tell her the truth – but heartbroken Vic has already resigned that it wasn’t meant to be. Melanie is feeling the same, and has resolved to stick with her decision to leave the area on her own.

Meanwhile, a wistful Aaron (Matt Wilson) admits to Cara that he’s envious of her and Remi’s plans to have another baby given he and David one day hoped to have Nic as their surrogate again.

With the option of choosing a known donor on her mind, Cara opens up to her wife and asks if she’d consider Aaron.

Remi wonders how Nic would feel about it, not to mention JJ (Riley Bryant) and Dex (Marley Williams). After sleeping on it, she thinks there’s no harm in asking him. He has all the qualities they need.

After approaching him, he’s touched by the offer and would love to help them, but explains that he carries the gene for Huntington’s disease.

Thursday, November 14

Max continues to make an impact and flirts with Sadie (Emerald Chan), unaware that she’s new housemate Byron’s girlfriend. Byron interrupts him, but his territorial behaviour shocks Sadie.

Andrew (Lloyd Will) makes an emotional plea for her to come home and live with him in Wendy’s (Candice Leask) absence, but is thrown when Byron offers for her to move in with him permanently. That way, Max can move out.

His shoddy handling of the issue upsets her further, forcing him to make a heartfelt apology and reasoning that he does enjoy spending more time with her.

Sadie agrees to his offer, but wants to make it clear that Max stays. Byron reluctantly goes along with it, leaving her with a tough conversation to be had with Andrew.

Down at Lassiters, Max starts his trial shift and Karl is impressed by his work ethic – so much so that he tries to set Holly up with him.

She’s appalled, naturally.

Shane has his own relationship woes, and consults Karl for some ideas. He’s out of Izzy advice and refers him to Paul, who suggests they left his spirits with a lads’ night out.

Unfortunately it’s not a success and he can’t get her off his mind.

Krista doubts whether Max is the right man for the job, and thinks its unreasonable that he should be hired purely based on the fact he’s Paul’s best mate’s son.

She gets to know the youngster better, and realises that he’s only taken on the position to please his dad. As a result, Krista interrupts the lads’ night and declares the trial over – Max wasn’t successful and Shane should consider what’s best for his son.

Elsewhere, Remi and Cara feel deflated by the news that Aaron can’t be their donor. They’re still against using someone anonymous and decide to wait until the perfect person comes along.

Cara decides to take on some extra work at the hotel fixing some guttering, with her pre-occupied mind forcing her to skip a safety precaution or two. Later that night, absent-minded Holly fails to secure a porter’s trolley – causing it to slam into her ladder.

She comes crashing down onto the floor, landing on the broken guttering and is rushed to the hospital. Remi is on call as she’s brought in, and with Cara’s pulse weakening, realises that her dear wife is bleeding out.

Will Cara survive?
