In smile-filled moments at Mar-a-Lago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted ex-President Donald Trump a ‘total victory’ cap and a framed picture of a child held hostage in Gaza.

Netanyahu visited Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday afternoon after meeting separately with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington, DC, the day prior.

Shortly after spending time with Trump, Netanyahu posted pictures and a video of the affair showing just how well it went.

Netanyahu held a blue baseball hat with ‘TOTAL VICTORY’ written across it in white while standing next to Trump, who was flashing a smile from ear to ear.

‘Shabbat Shalom,’ the prime minister wrote in the X (formerly Twitter) post, adding emojis of the Israeli and American flags.

The ‘total victory’ phrase was believed to reference Israel’s war on Hamas in Gaza. There was no indication that it was directed at the 2024 presidential election.

In another X post, Netanyahu shared a video of himself and his wife Sara walking up the steps of a building in Mar-a-Lago.

‘Come on in,’ Trump can be heard saying.

The Netanyahus were shown hugging Trump and posing for photos with the Republican candidate, who flashed a thumbs up.

It also had clips of Netanyahu explaining that the framed photo he presented to Trump was of a child whose grandfather requested that it be given to him.

‘We’ll get that taken care of,’ Trump replied, as he posed with Netanyahu for photos.

The Trump campaign stated that Netanyahu thanked the ex-president for his work while in the White House including the Abraham Accords, and moving the US embassy to Jerusalem. Trump vowed to, if elected, work for peace in the Middle East and fight antisemitism at colleges, according to his campaign.

Netanyahu was the one who requested the meeting at Trump’s residence, sources told CNN. It was their first meeting since Trump’s term ended more than three years ago.

Trump and Netanyahu had a good relationship as Trump enacted several policies benefiting Israel, but the prime minister’s congratulations to Biden winning the 2020 election created a rift with Trump. Trump reportedly went so far as saying, ‘F*** him.’

But Netanyahu and Trump appeared to bury the hatchet in Friday’s meeting.

Two days earlier, Netanyahu in a joint session address to Congress praised Trump for the Abraham Accords and said he was relieved that the ex-president ’emerged safe and sound’ from a ‘”dashardly” assassination attempt’.

In the same fiery speech defending the ongoing war, Netanyahu praised Biden for ‘his vital support for Israel after the savage attack’ on Israel by Hamas in October.
