All three season of Bridgerton have appeared on Netflix’s most watched list for the past week, earning the period drama a massive 33 million views in total.

The latest season of the steamy drama was watched for 589,000,000 minutes in a single day when the final four episodes landed on Netflix, so it’s no surprise that Bridgerton season three topped Netflix’s most-watched chart.

The new season, which follows the the love story between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), was watched a whopping 28 million times, amounting to 223.3 million hours of viewing time.

And it’s one particular moment that has got fans talking, with *that* mirror moment leaving Bridgerton viewers hailing it the ‘best ever sex scene’. It was so raunchy, in fact, that star Nicola Coughlan revealed she damaged the furniture while filming it.

But it’s fans who are revisiting the first two seasons of the show that have propelled Bridgerton to new viewing heights. While season three has taken the top spot, season one has also appeared in Netflix’s top 10, in sixth place, while season two featured ninth on the list.

First dropping in 2020, it was then that viewers were introduced to the powerful Bridgerton family and its eight close-knit siblings: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth.

The debut season has been up and down the Netflix chart more often than a Regency-era petticoat, but it’s currently enjoying its 14th week on the list, having received 2.7 million views between June 10 and 16.

Meanwhile, season two – which treated us to the enemies-to-lovers journey of Anthony and Kate Sharma – was watched 2.3 million times in its 20th week in the top 10.

But while Bridgerton has certainly dominated the Netflix chart in recent weeks, it’s not the only show enjoy success with the platform’s subscribers. Season three of Sweet Tooth is in its second week on Netflix’s most-watched list, with six million views.

The third and final series of the popular fantasy drama arrived so quietly on June 6 that many fans didn’t even realise it had been released, but it seems like viewers have now caught up.

Based on the DC Comics series by Jeff Lemire, Sweet Tooth takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after a mysterious disease called ‘The Sick’ killed off most of the human population, while babies conceived around this time were born as mysterious human-animal hybrids.

It follows the story of Gus, who was born half-human half-deer, and has been on a quest to find his mother following the death of his father. Season three will be the show’s the final series, with Gus’ story now coming to an end.

Elsewhere, New York-based drama Eric and teen comedy Geek Girl have spent a third week on Netflix’s most-watched chart in fourth and fifth place respectively, while reality dating show Perfect Match has slid up from eighth to third place with 5.1 million views in one week.

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix now.
