Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Tunji Ishola, Sunday, appealed to those making negative comments about Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s administration to refrain from doing so.
Rather, he said every Nigerian, regardless of the situation of the country should be patriotic because, “leaders will come and go but Nigeria will remain.”
Fielding questions from reporters in Ilorin at the sideline of 2024 lecture series of the University of Ilorin, Ishola harped on the need for all Nigerians to be patriotic.
” We must separate country from self. We need to be patriotic and refrain from making negative comment about Nigeria. Leaders will come and go, our country will remain,” he said.
The former minister also appealed to those expressing frustration about the economic policies of President Tinubu- led administration to be patient with the president and his government, saying it is too early to judge the administration.”
