Northern Council Of Yoruba Obas Frowns At Exclusion Of Non Indigenes

Chairman of the Council of Yoruba Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern states and Abuja, Ambassador Muhammad Arigbabuwo, Monday, frowned at the non-inclusion of non indigenes in the sharing of palliatives amongst the citizens.

Arigbabuwo, who expressed displeasure in a statement, called on the state governors to consider non indigenes in the distribution of palliatives in their respective states.

The statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen stated that non indigenes were totally sidelined in the whole of the scheme.

“If truly we are one Nigeria and not a satellite, we are equally entitled and deserve fair justice,” Arigbabuwo stated.

He called on President Bola Tinubu, the National Assembly and others stakeholders to come to the rescue of non indigenes who do not benefit from the palliatives in most of the states.

“We are aware of several humanitarians and financial support with palliatives given to only the indigenes,” Arigbabuwo stated.

He commended the security chiefs on their efforts to restore national peace and unity, especially during the just concluded nationwide “Endbadgovernance protest.

This is just as he urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the smooth running of the present administration.
