Passengers were stranded in Osogbo, Osun state capital while returning to their houses following the increase in fuel price, Tuesday.
Some filling stations shut their doors including the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as early as 10am, while vehicles queued for some hours, expecting the filling station to open.
Long queue was observed at some filling stations that sold N950 while others sold N1,000 per litre.
It was observed that some intra-city mini bus had parked their vehicles while some queued for some hours, waiting for filling stations to open.
Some drivers who managed to work, jerked the fare with a short distance being charged N200 from the initial N100.
A long distance which was N200 before, was increased to N300 and N400 in the afternoon of same day.
