Philips has announced a feature-packed gaming monitor featuring a high refresh rate and a QD-OLED panel. Targeting gamers, this beast has everything it needs to attract your attention.

Evnia 32M2N8800 is the latest addition to Philips’ gaming roster. It touts a flat 4K (3840×2160) QD-OLED panel running at a smooth 240Hz refresh rate. In other words, it is the best that you can currently get at this resolution while being flat, which is preferred by many users. Additionally, this panel carries a screen coating to suppress unwanted reflections in bright environments.

As its name implies, this bad boy is a 32in display (31.5in, to be exact), offering excellent pixel density without being too small for text reading. Combine it with QD-OLED’s advancements in text reproduction, and you get a one-stop shop for work and media consumption. The latter will also benefit from the super high 1,500,000:1 contrast and 1,000nits maximum brightness – at 3% APL (Average Picture Level).

Evnia 32M2N8800 is also certified VESA ClearMR 13000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400, indicating excellent image clarity with minimum blur and deep blacks to enjoy dark content. On the subject of content, you can even make some on this monitor thanks to its 99% DCI-P3 / 97.5% Adobe RGB colour gamut coverage.

For gamers, the advertised 0.03ms GtG response time and 240Hz refresh rate will be greatly appreciated. Though you better have an RTX 4090 or equivalent if you want to drive its 4K resolution anywhere close to the max refresh. Not to forget the Ambiglow RGB lighting which extends your experience outside of the monitor.

On the ergonomic side, the Evnia 32M2N8800 boasts -5°/+20° tilt, -30°/+30° swivel, and 150mm height adjustment, plus a 100x100mm VESA mount to cover all your needs. Lastly, Two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4 take care of video signals, alongside two 5W speakers if need be.

Needless to say, with such a spec list and feature set, Evnia 32M2N8800 won’t be cheap, probably sitting above the £1,000 mark. Even so, for those looking for the best experience, it would be hard to pass by this one. In fact, this spec is so perfectly aligned with what I am looking for, I’ve added this one to my list for when the time comes to upgrade.
