In the early hours of Tuesday evening, three people were found dead at a well-known resort located in central Minnesota.
According to a press statement released by the Chief of Police for the city of Breezy Point, Brian Sandell, the police were called to the 8400 block of Whitebirch Drive, which is located in close proximity to the Whitebirch Resort. There is currently no more information that can be supplied on the victims until the authorities contact family and confirm identities.
A timeshare community may be found less than a mile away from where we live. The Assistant General Manager of the Breezy Point facility, David Spizzo, was quoted in an Associated Press article as saying, “We do manage it, but it’s a separate resort.” At this point, the investigation is being handled by the local police enforcement in our area. When the news comes out, we will comply with their instructions.
On Wednesday, USA TODAY phoned Spizzo, but he declined to answer when we asked him.
After the event, Sandell said in a press release that the authorities are still waiting for the medical examiner’s office to deliver preliminary autopsy results and identification of the deceased person.
The resort’s website claims three 18-hole golf courses, a spa, and a broad range of winter activities, all of which attract roughly ten thousand hockey players and their families each year for contests. The resort may be found roughly 238 kilometers (147 miles) to the north of Minneapolis.
According to Explore Minnesota, a tourist agency in the state of Minnesota, the resort has been a year-round staple along Pelican Lake for the last 90 years and provides guests with a diverse selection of accommodation alternatives.
Sandell asserts that there is no current risk to the general population in light of what they have discovered up to this point.
According to USA TODAY, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety is providing assistance to the Breezy Point police department so that they may do their investigation.
