Princess Charlotte has a surprisingly close relationship to one of her father’s cousins – despite a rather large age gap.
Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Charlotte, 9, have shown signs of ‘deep’ friendship, according to a body language expert.
Judi James cited a moment between the pair at Princess Eugenie’s wedding in 2018.
She told the Express: ‘The pose where little Princess Charlotte gazed up at her ‘auntie Beatrice’ at Eugenie’s wedding showed Beatrice could well be Charlotte’s favourite royal friend.’
The young princess also appeared to comfort Beatrice during the funeral service for Prince Philip in 2022.
Judi added: ‘There was an even more touching moment between the two at Philip’s memorial service.
‘Beatrice was overcome by emotion during the service, weeping loudly and even hiding her entire face behind her hymn sheet at one point.
‘It was little Charlotte who looked back from the front row with an expression of concern, prompting Beatrice to offer a small smile and nod of thanks to reassure Charlotte she was okay.’
A touching video was shared earlier this year, showing a moment between Princess Charlotte and her mum Kate.
It shows the mum adjusting Charlotte’s hair as they greet the Glass State Coach set to take them off to Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour.
