Even as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)  has continued bemoan the poor outing made by its candidates in this year’s Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Rivers state born Solomon Ojoba has smashed his way to the rank of top scorers by posting an impressive 361 aggregate.

Master Solomon is a student of Niger Delta Science School (NDSS), Port Harcourt. The boy is said to have been a very exceptional child from the cradle.

Master Ojobah has been in and out of competitions. Recently, he came out top 10 at the recently concluded Rivers State Rotary Einstein Science Challenge in Port Harcourt.

At Junior Secondary level, he was already attempting WAEC questions. In his mock JAMB, he scored 303 and was so mad at himself. He assured his parents that he would hit harder and would do better. He scored 361 out of 400 questions in JAMB.

His father, Dr. Lucky Ojobah, a lecturer at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Omoku said, “As he checked his result few days ago, he exclaimed “Jesus” and everybody at home thought he was hurt, only for him to break the news of his score.”

Speaking further the proud father said, “I am an indigene of Omoku. My wife and I have always made reading for my children a hobby. Books are virtually their best games at leisure and as their academic tool.”
